Make a list

Write down in an email or Word document or even on paper the items that you are going to be moving from big to small. Even make a list and take pictures for the items in boxes. Put a copy of the list in each box and glue or tape it to the side so it's easy to find on the other side.



Have plenty of supplies

Make sure you have boxes, moving tape, packing tape, paper for your list of course, and ok throw in a pizza and some soda for those helping you out to get ready!



Utilize wardrobe boxes​

Wardrobe Boxes have hangers inside so all you have to do is move them from your closet to the box and back to the closet again. Also a great way to store clothes if it is going into storage.

Keep everything together but using color coordinate bins or labels. You decide which color to use where but an example might be Yellow for the Kitchen, Blue for a Bathroom, Pink for the girls room, and so on.
